Walk Against Warming 2009

On the International Day of Climate Change, Dec 12 2009, the Conservation Council along with 3,000 Canberrans walked outside New Parliament House to show Australia and the world that climate change is vital to Australia's future.

Trivia Fundraising Night

All proceeds from the evening went towards our Molongo Biodiversity Fund to raise money to hire a dedicated Biodiversity Campaigner to protect the Molonglo Valley.

World Environment Day Market 2006

Where: Garema Place, Civic

The World Environment Day Markets had stalls with information on climate change, nuclear power, transport, dragwayaway & more. Music supplied by Melan Cosmic; Heidi Gill; Soup Of The Day and Sanji De Silva.

Where: Multicultural Centre, London Cir, Civic

Locally and organically sourced food and wine

With numbers up by a third, 2006 is the second year supporters have volunteered to prepare and present the Conservation Council annual fundraising dinner.

Food preparation occurred over several days and evenings in a well-worn kitchen in O'Conner which is supported by a drought-ravaged but moderately productive home garden.
